4-H Teen Council

Cumberland County Teen Council 2011DEFINITION: 4-H Teen Ambassadors are enthusiastic and mature teens who want to be involved in leadership, citizenship and personal development projects and activities. They strive to promote 4-H to other 4-H'ers as well as the general public. Being an ambassador is an honor, but it also means accepting responsibility for a commitment to your county 4-H program.

PURPOSE: For teenagers:Have fun, meet new people, participate in a variety of projects, events and activities promote 4-H to all people.

  • Help conduct county wide 4-H events
  • Design and provide community service
  • Encourage financial support for 4-H
  • To act as a sounding board for youth ideas and concerns

Junior Leadership

The Cumberland County 4-H Junior Leaders is a county-wide 4-H group which consists of 7th grade 4-H members and above enrolled in the Youth Leadership project at the club level. The 4-H Junior Leaders participate in many fun and exciting activities and community service events throughout the year. This is a great opportunity to be a youth leader in Cumberland County 4-H, while also having fun with your fellow 4-H friends. Being a Junior Leader builds leadership and communication skills which will be useful to you in building resumes and filling out scholarship applications.
